Our team involved in the summer camps are formed by the following members of staff.
MANAGEMENT TEAM
Verónica Grande and Vicky Lapeyra are the founders of Hockey & Surf Camp and they are in charge of planning, coordinating and running the camp.
Verónica is coach in Getxo Stick Hockey Club and the Technical Director for the Bizkaia Hockey Federation. She is also the coordinator of Special Hockey in the region. Verónica was born in Buenos Aires and she has a large hockey experience having played at various levels for the Belgrano Athletic Club (Argentina), R.C. Jolaseta (Spain). Verónica has a passion for surf and a proven ability to develop different kind of projects to the highest standards.
As a technical director she is responsible of the hockey program and she makes sure that our young talents become better hockey players.
Vicky is an acredited hockey instructor with more than 30 years experience. She currently works as a hockey coach for junior teams at R.C. Jolaseta and promotes field hockey in the region. Vicky is a natural scorer and she carries large experience at the Spanish top league as a former player for the R.C. Jolaseta, Athlético de San Sebastian and the Sardinero Hockey Club as well as for the Spanish under 21 squad. She has a passions for surf and she counts with more than 10 years experience in competition.
As a camp manager her role is to coordinate all the team members and activities and ensure that both, staff and participants, have the most incredible experiences!
INTERNATIONAL COACHES
Languages are an important part of our program so all the coaches are English speakers and campers enjoy an international environment.
HOCKEY: All the coaches are selected after a rigorous interview process and they have a solid hockey background.
SURF: All our surf coaches are acredited as professional surf instructors and .
GOALIES COACH
Lois Van Kerkoerle is a dutch (former top level) goalie and certificate coach, with large experience in France, Belgium, Netherlands and Spain. He lives in Basque Country and is the main responsabile of the trainnings program of all top hockey goalies in Guipuzkoa since 2018.
Also incharge of the Basque federation, Atletico San Sebastián and Real Sociedad S.S as goalies coordinator/coach. Founder and mentor of Focus Goalies, we call him the GURU.
In addiction, Lois is a watersports lovers, windsurf was his first passion, now he enjoys surfing during his freetime.
Priscila is a goalkeeper born in La Plata, Agentina, with more than 25 yers of experience in 5 countries and many top level Clubs. On easter 2019 reached the final in the Eurocup with Real Sociedad, winning the silver medal.
Currently working as coach and playing in Netherlands for the biggest Club in the world: Kampong. As founder, with her partner in crime Lois, of the Academy Focus Goalies they come to add a plus to HOCKEY & SURF CAMP for this specific and important role in the field
HOCKEY & SURF CAMP AMBASSADORS

Sofia Viarengo
Argentine player who has played in the Spanish, English and Belgian leagues and next season she will enjoy the German league. Experience as coaches in child and youth benjamin categories.
Tom de Nooij
Dutch hockey player holandés Club "Mixed Hockey Club Hoevelaken" but he is currently playing the Spanish league at the RC Jolaseta club. As a coach he has very good results as indoor hockey champion in the MHCH U16 downtown district and U16 grass champion in second division MHCH in 2013.
Currently trains children from 6 to 10 years
