Our team involved in the summer camps are formed by the following members of staff.
MANAGEMENT TEAM
Verónica Grande and Vicky Lapeyra are the founders of Hockey & Surf Camp and they are in charge of planning, coordinating and running the camp.
Verónica is a member of the Hockey Stick Getxo Club, Technical Director of the Biscayan Hockey Federation, and Coordinator of Adapted Hockey in Biscay. She holds National Coaching Certifications Level 1 and Level 2. Among her many roles, she stands out as the Coordinator of Hockey Plus in Bizkaia.
Verónica was born in Buenos Aires and has extensive experience in hockey, having played for Belgrano Athletic Club (Argentina), R.C. Jolaseta (Spain), and the University of Seville (Spain).
As the Camp’s Technical Director, she is responsible for the hockey program and for helping our young talents become better hockey players.
Vicky is a certified instructor with over 30 years of experience in hockey coaching. She currently works as a coach at the Jolaseta Hockey School and also teaches hockey in schools. She holds National Coaching Certifications Level 1 and Level 2. In addition, she remains active as a player.
Over more than 40 years in hockey, she has been part of R.C. Jolaseta, Atlético de San Sebastián, Sardinero Hockey Club, Club Hockey Stick Getxo, and the Spanish national team. Her other great passion is surfing, a sport in which she has competed at the regional level for over 10 years.
As Camp Manager, her role is to coordinate the team, organize activities, and ensure that both staff and participants enjoy an exceptional experience.

Having coaches from different parts of the world greatly enriches the learning experience and day-to-day interactions of the children. This diversity not only fosters an international environment, but also offers them a unique opportunity to practice languages while developing in a multicultural setting.
HOCKEY
Each of our hockey coaches is selected through a rigorous recruitment process to ensure they possess extensive knowledge and proven experience in the sport. Their training and background guarantee that participants receive the highest quality instruction, tailored to their needs and skill level.
SURF
Our surf instructors are certified professionals who work closely with a professional surf school. They are highly qualified to deliver quality lessons, teaching not only proper techniques but also promoting safety and enjoyment in every session.
GOALIES COACH
Guzmán Martínez Ruiz is a goalkeeper who began his hockey career at the age of ten at the Atlético San Vicente school in Alicante. During his developmental years at the club, he cultivated strong skills and a deep passion for the sport.
Thanks to his progress, he earned a scholarship to join the Sports Specialization Program (PED) in Cheste and represented the Valencian Community team in several regional championships.
At the age of 19, he took a significant step in his career by joining Atlético de San Sebastián in Gipuzkoa, his current club, as a top-division goalkeeper.
FIELD HOCKEY COACHES
Laura Moreno is a field hockey coach and mental coach.
She currently works for Club Hockey Stick Getxo and the Biscayan Hockey Federation in the talent development program for young players. She is also the founder of HOCKEY HUB, a space where players train both their technique and their mindset.
She holds a Level 1 Hockey Coaching Certification from the Spanish Hockey Federation (FEH).
Laura is a former professional player and has coached in Argentina, Spain, Italy, and the United States.
Carolina Castagnet, passionate about hockey from a young age, has been involved in the sport for over 20 years—both as a high-level player and as a coach. She trained and competed for more than 15 years at the highest level of Argentine hockey with Club Arquitectura, where she also began her coaching career, leading teams from youth to junior categories.
She had the honor of training with Las Leonas, the Argentine national team. Her international playing career took her to New Zealand, Australia, and six years in the German Bundesliga, where she also coached boys' teams in junior and cadet categories.
She currently plays for Club Jolaseta, where she also serves as coordinator of the field hockey school.
She holds a Level 1 coaching certification from the Spanish Hockey Federation (FEH) and a Level 2 certification from Argentina.

Argentine player who has played in the Spanish, English and Belgian leagues and next season she will enjoy the German league. Experience as coaches in child and youth benjamin categories.
